How to Approach Your Goals


Don't stare too hard.  The only important word is in red.

       How many times have you set a goal and failed to reach it?  Your ultimate goal of X is set and you go on your merry way, trying your best to reach that long term goal.  You have all the motivation in the world and you want to reach your goal more than anything, but somewhere along the way you run out of gas, fall right back into your old habits and after a few months you are right back where you started.  A perfect example of this is the New Year’s resolutions that people set each year.  92.5% of all New Year’s resolutions are never achieved (a completely made up number but probably fairly accurate).  Are you part of that percentage?  Have you ever set a goal that you have failed to reach?  Chances are you have and it had nothing to do with how bad you wanted it and everything to do with your approach to achieving the goal.  What I am going to discuss below is a detailed approach on setting goals.  If you use the approach I discuss below you will greatly increase your chance of achieving the goals you set for yourself.

     There are many reasons why people do not succeed at the different goals they set for themselves.  There are the obvious reasons such as completely sucking at what they are attempting or lack of knowledge or skill in the area but these aren’t the reasons I would like to talk about.  I want to talk about the less obvious reasons that are usually the root cause of your failure to reach a goal.  You may be suffering from one or more of these problems right now but with the proper guidance and corrective measures you can be back on the path that leads you to success.

My Nutritional / Workout Strategies

The main focus of this post will be to outline what my nutritional strategies are.  I am not going to get too technical on you but everything I am stating is backed by science.  I will post references throughout for those that are interested and there are a bunch of studies listed at the end.  I am a huge proponent of IF (intermittent fasting) and just about everything I recommend is based on the research of Martin Berkham.  He is the high priest of IF and the man behind the LeanGains approach to it that everyone loves.  It is his LeanGains website that started the whole IF craze.  Although I have a similar approach as him I cannot tell you his secret formula for success.  What I can tell you is that the strategies that I use are extremely effective for everyone that has ever used them.  Everyone that follows them and sticks to the guidelines has had amazing results.

Ultimate Cheesecake Recipe!


The best cheesecake known to man!
 Cheesecake is quite possibly the best dessert on this earth.  When eating healthy most people avoid desserts like this but there is a healthy way to make just about anything your heart desires.  Where there is a will there is a way.  This recipe is the basic recipe that I make all of my cheesecakes from.  I found a few online that I liked and basically experimented until I found a taste that I loved.  You can experiment with it and change things up and I encourage you to do so.  Try adding more yogurt or maybe you like it creamier and would like to double the cream cheese.  Baking times are somewhat consistant when you change up the recipe but it you end up changing it drastically make sure you watch it in the oven every once in a while.

What Should Be In Your Refrigerator



If working with clients has taught me anything it’s that people don’t know what to eat.  It almost seems to be unimportant to most people.  The same people that don’t know what to eat will spend countless hours at the mall picking out items they put ON their body but hardly spend any time at all figuring out what they should put IN their body.  Much of this is due to sheer ignorance.  People just haven’t taken the time to find out what they should be eating.  They just buy what they see everyone else buying or what they see on TV and in ads which is usually the exact opposite of what they should be eating.  What I am about to tell you isn’t rocket science.  In fact, most of you already know what you should be eating but don’t do it.  Hopefully I can help change that.

16 Week Transformation (results)

 
It is not just my clients that will be going through this 16 week transformation but I will be doing it as well.  Over the last 2-3 weeks I have successfully gained about 25 lbs.  I would say 8-10 lbs of it are water weight from the excess carb intake but it’s still weight.  I have successfully lost any visible abs that I had which was ultimately the goal.  Over the next 16 weeks I will be following the exact same guidelines that I give my clients.  I will be updating this post periodically with my body weight, body fat, gym gains etc.

I am looking for 2 clients that will receive a completely free nutritional consultation with me and a 16 week workout plan / diet plan.
